Below are some answers that should help with any questions you may have, but if we've missed anything or you have any other query, just call!

Is it just cars you buy?

No. We buy cars, vans, camper vans and motorhomes.

How do I get a valuation?

Simply call us on 01202 287828 or get in touch via our contact page.

Do I have to bring my car to you?

No. You're welcome to visit us, but we're equally happy to come to your home or workplace.

How do I make an appointment for you to visit?

Simply call us on 01202 287828 or contact us online and we'll arrange a convenient time to visit.

Do you have female members of staff?

Yes. We want every customer to feel comfortable and at ease throughout the process.

How long does it take to appraise my car?

Usually around 10 minutes. A little longer if there's tea! 🙂

Can I sell you my deceased relative's car?

Yes. We understand these situations require sensitivity and regularly assist with bereavement
vehicle sales.

I've been left a car in probate. Are you able to buy it from me?

Yes. A motor vehicle is classed as a chattel, meaning it can usually be sold before probate has
been granted. If you're unsure, we're always happy to offer guidance.

I'm no longer able to drive due to poor health. Are you able to come to me?

Yes. We're happy to visit you at home.

Can I sell you a car belonging to a family member or friend?

Yes, with their permission.

Can I sell you a vehicle on behalf of a company?

Yes, provided you have the authority to act on the company's behalf.

Can you settle the outstanding finance on my car?

Yes. We can settle outstanding finance directly with the finance company on your behalf.

Would you still buy my car if in need of repairs?

Yes, in many cases. It will depend on the nature and extent of the repairs required.

Do you buy left hand drive vehicles?

Yes, with the correct documentation.

Do you operate outside of the Dorset area?

We primarily operate across Dorset and the close surrounding areas.

Do I have to make my mind up straight away?

No. There is absolutely no pressure or obligation to sell.

How do you pay me?

By instant bank transfer. Where possible, we recommend having access to online or telephone
banking so payment can be confirmed immediately.

How do you protect my data?

We treat all personal information confidentially, store it securely and never sell your data to third
parties.

Do you do necessary DVLA paperwork?

Yes. We complete all DVLA documentation online while we're with you, and you'll receive
confirmation directly from the DVLA.

I have road tax still on my car. How do I get a refund?

When we complete the DVLA transfer online, any outstanding road tax refund will be issued
automatically by the DVLA.

Will you buy my vehicle if the V5C is not in my name or current address?

Yes, subject to identity and ownership verification checks.

What if I have lost my V5C registration document?

We can help you apply for a replacement V5C while we're with you.

Do you charge any fees?

No. There are no fees, administration charges or hidden costs.

I've received a penalty notice/parking fine for a vehicle I sold to Garrett
Dorset. What do I do?

You should not receive any correspondence once the DVLA has been notified of the change of
ownership. However, if you do receive anything relating to the vehicle, please contact us and we'll
be happy to help.

What is a 'subject to appraisal' price?

Any valuation provided before we've seen the vehicle is an estimate based on the information
supplied and will be confirmed following an appraisal.

Do you buy vehicles of any age?

Yes. We consider vehicles of all ages.
